Need for a Kampala Church of Christ Ministry Van

Image
Greetings to you all once again from Kampala. We trust that this finds you healthy and doing well on your journey of life. We thank God for keeping you all. God continues to be good and a guide onto our feet as we carry and spread his message to those we come across. However, as we venture into territories for Christ, we have over the last couple of Months been met with a number of opportunities in the challenges to let God be God as we spread out beyond our boundaries at KCC. In regard to the above, the need for a Ministry vehicle has never been as welcome as of now, to us I think it has always been just a matter of time. We believe the season and timing is quite right as God opens more doors for us in the communities. At the beginning of this year, the KCC leadership was all in agreement for us to pray for a Ministry Van that will help us in the work and the affairs of the Kampala Ministry. In the last several Months, transport has proven to be such a challenge for our Evangelis...

(Above Pic. Perusi addresses the participants in wakiso) (women gather around to learn together to make paper beads) Happy N ew 2011 and greetings from Kampala Church of Christ. We thank God for having guided you through the last year. We are looking forward to a greater and blessed 2011 as God in His mercy keeps us all for His own sake and purposes. We are sorry for having taken long posting the Living Rays News letter. It has been a busy period of time in Kampala. Last year the Theme for the Church in Kampala was “Go Out” .God provided several opportunities for us to reach out into our communities in 2010. We witnessed great mighty works of God in Wakiso, Wabigalo, Kasangati and many other communities. In the midst of it all, we went through a number of challenges as well but God still held us in His own Palms. God protected us, provided for us, guided us and healed us. We thank God for having connected and used you all in being part of our family in both our challenges and triumphs ...

12/08/2010 Vol. 20 “Oh God you are my God, and I will ever praise you, and I will seek you in the morning and I will learn to walk in your ways, and step by step you lead me lord and I will ever praise you”. After three months of intense physical and emotional pain, bed ridden, worry, physical incapability, grief in the home and church family, Joseph Irwaat on 12/28/2010 was finally able to come to church for the first time ever since that dreadful day of 09/16/2010 when he was attacked and beaten up severely by thugs. Four others were attacked on the same day, two died. Joseph, got head and neck injuries coupled with linear fractures on his skull. Joseph testified about the power of God and sang the above song as the whole church joined in unison. He continues to be under medical observation. His doctor had recently advised surgery to be done on his spine. After an enquiry with another Neuro Surgeon, he was told to try out physiotherapy for two weeks and thereaft...

Goat and Chidren's Gifts Give Away Day in Wakiso

11/15/2010 Vol. 19 In the Book of Acts Chapter 20, Paul exhorts his fellow believers about several things but one thing that stands out were the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in Verse 35 “It is more blessed to Give than to Receive”. W e are all living Testimonies of what God was able to do for each one of us when He gave freely of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for you and me. Freely we received, freely we give. On the 13th November 2010, the Kampala Church was privileged to be a part of what this Scripture is all about. On this day we were able to purchase, transport and distribute goats to a poor war torn community of Banda in Wakiso district. If you have been following the Living Rays News letter, several weeks ago the Christian Relief Fund (CRF) blessed the Church in Kampala with funds to buy goats for the poor and needy. God led us to bless Wakiso with this gift. For the past few years, the New Testament Churches of Christ (legal registered body of the ch...

11/09/2010 Vol. 18 The Kampala Church of Christ sends you all greetings in the mighty Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is with profound joy, that we once again bring to your awareness about what God continues to do in Kampala. Several weeks ago we reported about what befell of our brother and leader in the Kampala church. Joseph Irwaat, was attacked, beaten and robbed by thieves on his way to work in the early morning of 9/16/2010. He was admitted and later discharged from hospital on 9/22/2010. On his discharge, we all rejoiced to know that Joseph was finally rejoining his family with just a little rest to go back to work. We continue to thank all of you who have stood with us in prayer, those who have financially contributed towards his medical expenses and all of you who have shown concern about his condition. We continue to be overwhelmed by all your prayers, concern and support. However, ever since he was discharged from hospital, Joseph has always been co...
