FRED SENKUMBA FINDS LILIAN NABATANZI Genesis 2:18 -24 And God created a helper for Adam. The Bible goes on to affirm that what God has put together no man should put asunder. Fred senkumba, searched and he has found the ONE. Some time back, we were privileged to escort (Traditionally this visitation is called Okukyala) Fred to visit the home of Lilian. The next stage after the visitation is the Introduction Ceremony (Kwanjula) The Kwanjula (Introduction Ceremony) meetings are currently taking place every Sunday at 4 pm at the Kampala Church of Christ. These meetings are designed to majorly fundraise for the occasion. The Kwanjula will take place on the 12 th December 2010 at Lilian’s home. This ceremony is very key in this culture. Traditionally, the Kwanjula is the real wedding so much so that the law of Uganda recognizes it as a marriage. On this occasion, Lilian will be basically introducing Fred to her family ...

10/19/2010 Vol. 017 Above pic. Joseph and his mother at home God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Despite all the struggles and challenges we have had and continue to have we still find all reason and joy to thank God for our lives. God continues to reveal Himself in these struggles. Our gratitude and thanks go to all of you who are unceasingly praying for Joseph Irwaat. On the 5 th of this Month, Joseph was taken for a medical checkup. The Doctors made an examination on him but there was no conclusive Medical Report made on him. We were instead told to take him back to the hospital on the 19 th of this Month and still nothing was conclusively brought to light. Joseph is slowly gaining back his energy though. The rest of his body is now healed. He still has acute pain in the neck regions. If all our Prayers have been able to sustain Joseph this far, we have no spot of doubt that...

09/23/2010 Vol. 15 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ We send to you all greetings yet again from Kampala. We thank you for your continued persistence in prayer with us for our brother Joseph Irwaat. God is good all time, yesterday Joseph was discharged from Nsambya hospital at 2 pm. No referral has been confirmed as yet. We were told to take him back at the hospital on 10/05/2010 for a medical examination. Joseph is able to walk now, his voice sounds even more stronger than previously. We took him to his home but on our way, he made us stop so that he could show us where he was attacked from. It was a very emotional situation as he tried to show us how he was beaten, how he was left laying down in-between two blocks of houses, how he tried to knock on some ones door for help and how he got a harsh reply from the inhabitant. A number of people from the neighborhood gathered around us as Joseph was narrating what happened to him. Several of these people were sympathetic with him. It ...

Joseph Irwaat

09/16/2010 Vol. 011 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Today has been one of those days that we all thought was going to be normal but turned out abnormal and a shock. One of our church leaders, Joseph Irwaat was today morning mugged by thugs on his way to work. It was just a ten minutes walk from his home when he was attacked by four thugs and severely beaten. He got a serious neck and forehead injury. I was called by his wife at around 8 am today informing me about what had happened. The attack according to Joseph happened at around 5:30 am in the morning. That is the time he usually sets off for work to beat the early morning traffic jam. Joseph lives in Bweyogere which is about a 20 minutes drive into the city. Apparently, three other people were mugged up by thugs today in the same area. Annet, Joseph’s wife says, two of the victims have died today morning. We praise God because Joseph is alive. We took Joseph to Mulago hospital in the morning. Mulago is the biggest hospit...

Joseph Irwaat

9/17/2010 Vol. 012 Joseph Irwaat, 49( a leader at the Kampala Church of Christ) was yesterday among four other people that were ambushed by thugs on their way to work in the early morning hours at 5 am on Thursday 16th September 2010. Joseph’s story has featured in today’s leading Luganda local News paper Bukedde. It has been confirmed that four people were ambushed, two have died so far and the other two are hospitalized. We praise God because Joseph is alive. When I visited him today morning in the hospital, Joseph was encouraged to read all your messages, concern and prayers. Joseph went on to say that it had to be the mercy of God that he is alive. According to Bukedde, the four ambushed people were all beaten up using small iron bars locally known as “Katayimbwa”. The intension seems clear enough that the thugs attacked with a goal to kill. Please continue to pray for Joseph and the other survivor. I will be sending you more updates as I get them. One of the doctors has advised ...
9/10/2010 Vol.010 We send to you all greetings in the mighty of Name of our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our hope and prayer is that this finds you all doing great. There are several things that have happened at the Kampala church and elsewhere in Uganda over the last couple of Months. The Churches of Christ under the umbrella of New Testament Churches of Christ (NTCC), in Uganda have an Annual Meeting that brings all of them together in one place. The meetings rotate among the five major towns of Kampala (Central), Mbale (East), Fortportal (West), Mbarara (West) and Jinja town. On the 3rd through the 5th of September 2010, the Churches of Christ gathered in Mbale for this year’s National Meeting. The Theme for the meeting was “United with Christ”. It was a timely Theme at such a time as this when Unity is all that the Church of Christ needs to defeat the attacks and schemes of the Evil one. The guest speaker was Henry Buregea from the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was an eventful...
