Praise God, His mercies endure forever. Greetings from Kampala Uganda. We send out yet another newsletter to keep you abreast with what God continues to do in our midst. There are several things to thank God for. It is our joy to share our journey with you. Thank you all, for your continued prayers, thoughts, love and support for the body of Christ in Kampala.

We were blessed to host the CRF (Christian Relief Fund), Field Director brother Larry Wu for three days in Kampala from 1/26/13 to 1/29/13. Larry was able to meet with the Kampala CRF sponsored children on 1/27/13. CRF Kampala pays fees for ninty three children most of whom are now in secondary and other higher institutions of learning. During his brief stay in Kampala, Larry was taken on a tour of the Kampala Ministry Projects in Wakiso and Ndejje.  He visited the church, the agricultural projects and the nursery bed project in Wakiso. At Ndejje, he visited the KCC Chicken project and the Elishama Junior Academy school project.  Larry was joined by two other friends, Jonathan Liu and Kathern Mcmillan at the time we spent with him in Kampala and Kenya.

After a few days in Kampala, a week was spent in Mbale and Kenya visiting the other CRF projects. Isaac Sanyu, the CRF Kampala coordinator and Willington Musinguzi a member of the KCC Projects Committee were able to accompany Larry in Mbale and Kenya. It was an amazing experience to see what God is doing through CRF in Kenya. Thousands of orphans and needy children are being helped through CRF to attain the basic needs of education, food, clothing and health. We were able to visit a number of schools in Kenya whose children are sponsored by CRF. Most of these schools are primary level schools.  However, CRF is graduating to starting secondary level schools in Kenya as well. The highlight of the secondary school establishment was the Suzy Peacock High School in Eldoret that stands on 5 acres. It was amazing to see and visit the Suzy Peacock facility. It was an honor to witness the first class of secondary students at the Suzy Peacock Secondary school. The teachers and students were amazing. We thank God and the memory of Suzy Peacock as the establishment impacts Eldoret, Kenya and Africa at large to help produce quality professionals and God fearing citizens.

We give praise to God. Last year, it was shared through this newsletter about the ailing and sick Esther Tushabe.  About how her husband had deserted and left her with children to take care of. We shared about the struggle she had in paying school fees for her children. And how she was staying with her mother in law during that difficult time. We are joyous to share once again that God came down to rescue Esther out of her misery. Two of her children got the needed funds to get back to school for one school term. Above all, Esther is now healed and can be able to talk and walk, things that she had difficulty to do at the time she was sick. She is slowly gaining back her weight from the frail body that was fading away. We thank you all for having prayed for Esther and for that one special lady who sent funds to get Mirembe and Nicholas back to school, may God bless and keep you always.

We give praise to God about the developments being registered with the Elishama Junior Academy school. In the previous newsletters, we have shared about our plans for starting a school at Ndejje. We thank God for the land and the building structures that have eased the possibility of God using the project for his glory. We thank Francis Nsubgua on whose land and the buildings belong and for his tireless efforts in over seeing the construction and renovation of the structures and his complete oversight of the school. We thank Ruth Sebagala who has dedicated to volunteer her time in staying at the school premises and to teach the children. We thank Fred Senkumba who has also committed time and energy in not only teaching but helping out in the running of the school. We thank the children, men and women of North Central Church of Christ in Indiana, USA, who have committed their time to pray and rendered financial support that has greatly helped build and renovate the school building and toilets.

On 4th February 2013, God finally laid the first six bricks of Elishama Junior Academy. On this day we registered our first six children, ages between 4 and 7 years. God is good. Several in the community want to bring their children into the school to be taught. However, we are starting out slow as our resources allow. We ask that you continue lifting up the children of Ndejje in your prayers as God provides the resources to have them enrolled into Elishama Junior Academy. We are in the process of formulating policy and a proposal document that will help the dream and focus of the school project. There are recruitment changes that are going to take effect with the Kampala CRF program that will be causing some good waves for the needy and orphan children in the community of Ndejje. We ask that you keep these developments in prayer.

As we were still embracing the good news of recruiting our first intake of Elishama Junior Academy, another development brewed up in the initial kick off stages of the school. There is always a long process and painful bureaucracy involved in starting out community initiatives such as schools. However, we give praise to God for having quickened the process of permission and authorizing the activities of Elishama Junior Academy in good speed. An official letter was granted by the Wakiso District Local Government on 2/18/2013 to allow the school to operate. However, this permission will be in effect until June 2013 when an inspection will be made towards possibilities of acquiring a license. Please stay with us in prayer as we see yet another mighty manifestation of God in this regard.  The intention and purpose for the school project is for it to gradually elevate into a fully fledged primary school.  The plan in part is to be able to recruit students that can afford to pay our subsidized school fees but also find ways to have donors help pay fees of those children that are orphans and needy without any hope of going to school. We ask for your prayers as all these plans formulate into policy for the glory of God. We also covet your prayers for the many needs of the school at this point in time. We ask for your prayers for God to provide stationary, books, a TV and DVD set, chairs, tables, swing sets and toys for the school, upkeep income for Ruth who has physically shifted and stays at the school premises . A few of these items have already been donated by the Better Living Resource Centre (BLRC) to the school project. Please continue upholding this project in your prayers and thoughts as God opens more doors for this project.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for God’s providence for all that is needed for the Elishama Junior Academy school project.
2. Pray for the Kampala Women of Grace Project as they seek ways to expand and becoming more creative in their products and services.
3. Pray for the KCC chicken Project
4. Thanks giving for Esther’s healing
5. Pray that God leads and guides the leadership and congregation of KCC as communities are being impacted with the love of Christ as we plant more life care groups (Bible Study Fellowships) in these communities and homes.
