12/08/2010 Vol. 20 “Oh God you are my God, and I will ever praise you, and I will seek you in the morning and I will learn to walk in your ways, and step by step you lead me lord and I will ever praise you”. After three months of intense physical and emotional pain, bed ridden, worry, physical incapability, grief in the home and church family, Joseph Irwaat on 12/28/2010 was finally able to come to church for the first time ever since that dreadful day of 09/16/2010 when he was attacked and beaten up severely by thugs. Four others were attacked on the same day, two died. Joseph, got head and neck injuries coupled with linear fractures on his skull. Joseph testified about the power of God and sang the above song as the whole church joined in unison. He continues to be under medical observation. His doctor had recently advised surgery to be done on his spine. After an enquiry with another Neuro Surgeon, he was told to try out physiotherapy for two weeks and thereaft

11/15/2010 Vol. 19 In the Book of Acts Chapter 20, Paul exhorts his fellow believers about several things but one thing that stands out were the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in Verse 35 “It is more blessed to Give than to Receive”. W e are all living Testimonies of what God was able to do for each one of us when He gave freely of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for you and me. Freely we received, freely we give. On the 13th November 2010, the Kampala Church was privileged to be a part of what this Scripture is all about. On this day we were able to purchase, transport and distribute goats to a poor war torn community of Banda in Wakiso district. If you have been following the Living Rays News letter, several weeks ago the Christian Relief Fund (CRF) blessed the Church in Kampala with funds to buy goats for the poor and needy. God led us to bless Wakiso with this gift. For the past few years, the New Testament Churches of Christ (legal registered body of the ch

11/09/2010 Vol. 18 The Kampala Church of Christ sends you all greetings in the mighty Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is with profound joy, that we once again bring to your awareness about what God continues to do in Kampala. Several weeks ago we reported about what befell of our brother and leader in the Kampala church. Joseph Irwaat, was attacked, beaten and robbed by thieves on his way to work in the early morning of 9/16/2010. He was admitted and later discharged from hospital on 9/22/2010. On his discharge, we all rejoiced to know that Joseph was finally rejoining his family with just a little rest to go back to work. We continue to thank all of you who have stood with us in prayer, those who have financially contributed towards his medical expenses and all of you who have shown concern about his condition. We continue to be overwhelmed by all your prayers, concern and support. However, ever since he was discharged from hospital, Joseph has always been co

FRED SENKUMBA FINDS LILIAN NABATANZI Genesis 2:18 -24 And God created a helper for Adam. The Bible goes on to affirm that what God has put together no man should put asunder. Fred senkumba, searched and he has found the ONE. Some time back, we were privileged to escort (Traditionally this visitation is called Okukyala) Fred to visit the home of Lilian. The next stage after the visitation is the Introduction Ceremony (Kwanjula) The Kwanjula (Introduction Ceremony) meetings are currently taking place every Sunday at 4 pm at the Kampala Church of Christ. These meetings are designed to majorly fundraise for the occasion. The Kwanjula will take place on the 12 th December 2010 at Lilian’s home. This ceremony is very key in this culture. Traditionally, the Kwanjula is the real wedding so much so that the law of Uganda recognizes it as a marriage. On this occasion, Lilian will be basically introducing Fred to her family

KAMPALA CHURCH OF CHRIST GOAT PROJECT NEWS On 22 nd October 2010 the Kampala Church of Christ leadership committee went on a familiarization and a field study tour of Wakiso District in Banda, 16 kilometers from the Capital City of Kampala. The tour was made to meet and assess some of the already identified families that are going to benefit from the Kampala Church of Christ Goat project that has been funded by the Christian Relief Fund in Amarillo Texas. We met with fifteen families. The exercise took the whole day. Our mission was successful in getting to know and meet with the first batch of families that are soon going to be given goats to rear. On 6 th November 2010 , we shall have a formal introduction of the Goat project to the identified family groups. We shall later train them about Goat rearing and explain the expectations of the project. This will also be a time for the beneficiarie
